正记豆乾厂成立历史
正记豆乾厂早在四十年代,开始以手工制作豆乾。一九三六,黄乌正老先生南下谋生,从事多种行业,最终开始自己的养猪农场和经营杂货店。为了提供养猪饲料, 黄先生决定自己动手做豆乾,利用剩余的豆渣喂养蓄养的猪以降低养猪的成本。
黄老先生制作豆乾的目的除了自己享用, 过多的豆 乾则送到杂货店或市 场去买.
七十年代初,第二代接棒人搬迁到裕廊,继续运作。而杂货店则搬到亚历山大,从这时开始创立了正记。 而当时豆乾的需求增加, 慢慢形成以生产豆乾为主,养猪为副业。
八 十 年 代, 政 府 限 制民间养 猪, 于是, 黄 老先生决定放弃养猪, 全 面生产豆乾. 由于所制作的豆乾滋养丰富,价廉物美, 很受人欢迎.
一九八零年黄先生后来在宏 茂 桥设 厂, 注册了正记豆乾厂,除了生产豆乾外, 也生产与豆乾有关的产品如: 豆浆,豆花, 和本地首创的蔬菜豆乾卷等.
光阴似箭,三十年过去了,二零零四年 , 正记豆乾 厂因受政府的土地征用法律的影响,搬到勿落北 的"美味东橱房", 继续拓展业务。

History of Chng Kee Bean Cake Factory
Chng Kee Bean Cake factory started business as early as 1940. It was a traditional hand- made bean cakes factory.
1936, Mr Ng Oh Chng travelled to Singapore to look for business opportunity. Finally, he decided to rear pigs and start his provision shop business. He then decided to make bean cakes. The intention of making bean cake was for self consuming. The remaining (Dou Char) was used to feed the pigs. This is to reduce the cost of rearing pigs. The excess bean cakes were sold to the provision shop and markets.
In the 1970's, the second generation of Ng family moved to Jurong. The family continued with the business. The provision shop was moved to Alexandra. The name of Chng Kee was officially formed. Due to the high demand of bean cakes, The Ngs' family decided to focus on making bean cakes.
In 1980, the government restricted rearing pigs, Mr Ng decided to give up rearing pigs and concentrate on producing bean cakes. The bean cake that the Ng family produced was nutritious and well received.
The senior Ng had move its factory to Ang Mo Kio and registered Chng Kee Bean Cake Factory. The company manufactures bean cake, Soya bean drink, soft bean curd and vegetable -bean curd roll, the first kind of food in Singapore.
How time flies, 30 years have passed. In the year of 2004, The company was affected by the government's resettlement programme. Thus had to shift to Bedok North, the Gourmet East Kitchen to continue their business.
